Barry M - Gold Foil Nail polish Review

                                            Hello there Beauts!
   Time for the Gold Foil Review! This nail polish like Barry M's Blue Moon is an amazing colour  and with only one coat you have a beautiful finished product as the polish is really thick. 

   On the second day, the polish started to chip but it could be because I was working at the cash. Apart from that, through the week the polish had a really good staying power and it slightly chipped.

   The Gold Foil is one of my favourite colour and it really defines the nail and gives a chic colour. It goes really well with brown colours of garments. With this nail polish I love to wear Missguided blue blazer and missguided beige trousers.

Fizzy Jelly

                                     Hello there Beauts!
    Yesterday evening, I used my last pack of Hartley's Blackcurrant Jelly and instead of making the normal one I decided to try out and make a fizzy one. I must say the finished product tastes really good and it's easy to do! 

   Those interested, dissolve your favourite jelly in 150 ml of hot water then add 420 ml of lemonade, it could be standard or diet. When you're finished put in the refrigerator for an hour or so. To play it safe, I always leave it overnight.

New Purchases

                                     Hello there Beauts!
   I'm sorry for turning into a bad blogger but I'm really busy during week days struggling with Assignments and studying for tests. Also I am not really buying any new stuff as I am on a really strict budget and saving up money! 


   But as I needed to buy a top coat and nail hardener, I also purchased 2 Rimmel nail polishes.

                                   Now time for some updates!

   Long time ago, I had blogged about getting my licence and searching for a car. It took me  like 3 months to find the perfect one. Yesterday my parents came to pick me up at work and surprised me by coming with my new car - my dream car - Beetle! I am really happy and excited at the moment. I will take some photos for you!

   On another note I am soon going to splurge myself on New Look's clothes. To show her appreciation my friend gave me a 60 euros gift voucher from New Look. I really appreciated the gesture! I am also in need of some new winter clothes!

Barry M - Blue Moon Nail Polish Review

                                      Hello there my little Beauts!
   Hope everything's fine. At the moment, I'm in the period of a lot of Assignments and Tests therefore I'm not really having enough time for myself. All I'm doing at the moment is going to school, do home works/assignments, study, eat and sleep, seriously. My life is kind of boring at the moment ;) haha


   Anyways, today I thought I'd review Barry M's Blue Moon nail polish for you. 

    To achieve the finish that I wanted, I made 3 coats of the nail polish because the colour was really light. It wasn't really a problem for me doing 3 coats of nail polish as at the end I was satisfied with the final finish. To make Barry M's Blue Moon nail polish stand out more, I used OPI Last Friday Night nail polish on my thumb and ring finger. 


   I was really impressed with this nail polish as the chipping started to show after one week which is really amazing as normally nail polishes chip after two or three days! The nail polish could have lasted up to 2 weeks on my nails but as I wanted to try out Barry M's Gold Foil nail polish, I removed it. To tell you the truth, I really did not think that Barry M's Blue Moon nail polish would last that long which is really great! Looks like I am going to make a lot of use of this nail polish.

Halloween

                                     Hello there Beauts!
   First of all, I would love to wish all of you a Happy Halloween! Being that said, as in Malta we don't do trick or treating and the majority of the parties are in weekends, I celebrated Halloween with my friends on Friday at a party 'Free the Spirits' in Tattingers, Rabat. 

   As I did not really wanted to waste a lot of money on a costume that I was going to use once, I decided to buy some cuffed braces and a pair of nerdy glasses which were 3.50euros and 6.90euros respectively. The costume I created was of a Zombie Nerd. 

 
   This is the make up look I created - well I did not look like a zombie but all as well, it passes for Halloween, as you won't normally see a person wearing that make-up for an every day look! Haha

   The above photos are of some of us at the flat before going to the party and the others of some of us at the party! If you are wondering about those claws, well a friend of us decided to impersonate Wolverine.

Barry M Nail Polishes + NOTD - Disco Pink

                                               Hello there Beauts!
    In September I had posted about the New Nails Effects Barry M have launched ( link: http://berry-blush.blogspot.com/2011/09/barry-m-new-nail-effects-launched.html ) and as I need some new nail polishes (due to stopping doing my nails with gel), my first choice was to purchase Gold Foil code np320 and Blue Moon code np317. I am really looking forward try them and when I do, I'll tell you what I think about them! 

   My nails at the moment are painted in Max Factor's Disco Pink no 704. I've painted my nails on Thursday and till now they haven't chipped at all which is really good as I get really 'pissed' when the nail polish chips immediately.

Ice Watch

                                              Hello there Beauts!
   As most of you must know, not so long ago I had my birthday and last Saturday, my lovely mum bought me a white ice watch with rose gold and Swarovski crystals for my birthday. As I could not capture a good photo of the watch due of having an injured finger, I found a picture for you from Google. 

   Yesterday at work, I was putting the clean glasses back to their place on a shelf and the wine glass I was holding to put back at its place slipped out of my hand. The minute I grabbed it, the glass hit the cupboard and it broke. I checked to see if I had cut myself with the glass and saw two small scratches made from the glass on two of my fingers. Looking at the other hand, there was blood dripping from one of my fingers, I bandaged the cut with a plaster and continued to work. This morning when I woke up, I complained to my mum that my finger was hurting me and when I removed the plaster to show her the cut, the blood had still not dried up and continued to drip. Seeing that, my mum told me that it was better to go and check it out at the clinic to see if I needed any stitches. Luckily, as I am really afraid of needles and anything to do with that sort of stuff, all the nurse did was clean my finger, put on a steri-strip (like a butterfly stick) and bandaged it. Now on Tuesday I have to go back to the clinic for the nurse to check if the cut is healing and on the 21st I have to go again to the clinic to remove the bandage. 

   The bandage is already irritating me because my finger is hurting a bit and I cannot write properly. But what can I do? I have to be patient!
